The UIB organizes the Averroes seminar Possibilités et Approches Alternatives des Études Supérieures de Tourisme
The Vice-Rector’s Office for Internationalization and Cooperation of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) has organized the Averroes seminar Possibilités et Approches Alternatives des Études Supérieures de Tourisme, an activity of the Averroes network. The goal is to share and pool experience and knowledge in the field of higher education in tourism among the representatives of the participating universities. For this purpose, lectures, workshops and visits have been scheduled. Lecturers at the universities from Algeria, Morocco, France and Italy, as well as the UIB, participate in the seminar.The Averroes network is a consortium of eleven universities of the Maghreb countries and nine European universities, with associated members from numerous institutions such as local, national, and international socio-economic organizations. The Averroes network receives funding from the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 programme.
The aim of the network is to promote University students exchange, as well as teaching staff exchange, and administrative and services staff exchange. The network also facilitates the progress of the university community through practical training, research and teaching. It also strengthens academic, cultural and research linkages between member universities, which translates into an increased capacity for international cooperation.
