The TECHNO project (Erasmus Mundus Partnership) will bring eight students and teachers from Southeast Asia to the UdG next year

Eight students and teachers from South-East Asia (six from Cambodia, one from Indonesia and one from China) will study or do research at the UdG next year (2012-2013) through the first call of the TECHNO project. Specifically, there will be an undergraduate student, three students of master’s degrees and two PhD students, one as a postdoctoral researcher and the other as a teacher.

The TECHNO project is a partnership of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union, and it is funded with nearly 2 million euro. The participating students and teachers will receive a monthly allowance and they will be paid their travel ticket, a medical insurance and the university tuition fee. The person in charge of TECHNO at the UdG is Dr. Emili García-Berthou, full professor of Ecology at the Faculty of Sciences, and the project is managed by the External Relations Office of the UdG (www.udg.edu/internacional/).

The second call of the project will take place before the end of this year. All the information about the TECHNO project can be found at http://www.techno-em.org/.
