The Balearic Government supports the legal incorporation of the PRES-PM Pyrenees-Mediterranean cross-border pole

The Regional Government of the Balearic Islands, through its Minister for Education, Culture and Universities, Mr. Rafael Bosch, is supporting the establishment of an European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) between universities of the Balearic Islands and Gerona (Spain), and universities of Perpignan and Pierre et Marie Curie – Paris VI (France). The EGTC will provide legal and institutional coverage to the Pyrenees-Mediterranean Cross-Border Research and Higher Education Group (PRES-PM), consisting of the aforementioned universities.

The PRES-PM is to be recognized internationally as a reference entity in southern Europe for its ability to develop projects of territorial cooperation in the fields of teaching, research and innovation, which will result in increased internationalization and employability of the 42,000 students enrolled in this cross-border campus.
