The rectors of the UdG and the UIB meet with the company Agbar to nail down objectives and actions in the e-MTA Campus

reunió agbarThe rectors of the University of Gerona (UdG), Dr. Anna M. Geli, and the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), Dr. Montserrat Casas, have gathered with representatives of the water company Agbar to nail down objectives and actions to be developed in the Euro-Mediterranean Tourism and Water Campus (e-MTA Campus). The company Agbar supplies water to 26 million people in Europe and South America. Through its Aqualogy brand, Agbar develops technologies to improve the water resources efficiency and to optimize its use. Aqualogy has a section exclusively devoted to knowledge transfer, with 62 researchers involved in seven research projects.The meeting was attended, beside the rectors, by Manuel Cermerón and Imma Mayol, representatives of Agbar. From UIB also participated Dr. Gemma Turnes, vice-rector for research, Dr.Jordi Lalucat, and Dr. Victor Cerdà, coordinators of the e-MTA Campus water line at the UIB, Mr. Miquel Carrió, director of the University-Enterprise Foundation of the Balearic Islands, and Dr. Antoni Arbona, coordinator of the e-MTA Campus at the UIB. From UdG, Dr. Manuel Poch, coordinator of the e-MTA Campus water line at the UdG has accompanied the rector.
