Joan Mesquida: “To maintain and to preserve our natural heritage is essential”

Joan Mesquida, Secretary of State for Tourism, also wanted to show his support for the Euro-Mediterranean Tourism and Water Campus. According to Mesquida, if the project lead by the UIB, the University of Gerona, the CSIC and the ICRA gets the Campus of International Excellence label, this “would highlight the effort being made not only in the University, but also in the private sector, to make the Balearic Islands a reference in tourism innovation and research.”

Mesquida has also emphasized the opportunity to bet on sustainable tourism as a future value for the Balearic Islands.
