ICRA gather european scientists to coordinate a project on remote monitoring of lakes and reservoirs water quality

The meeting brings together researchers, technologists and managers of water in Europe takes place on 21, 22 and 23 at ICRA and will tune network stations to coordinate automatic measurement of the quality of water in lakes and reservoirs across Europe.

The main objective of the workshop is the dissemination of LIFE solutions for wastewater treatment and/or management among wastewater stakeholders. LEQUIA has carried out an study to identify the main needs and requirements in the wastewater field in Catalonia and Spain. From these analysis, a selection of different successful LIFE projects that can give responses and solutions to these needs has been done. These projects will be presented in the workshop.

“Cambios en el turismo contemporáneo”, a new MOOC course from UdG

After the courses Scientific Communication 2.0.1 and History of Chemistry as part of the platform MiriadaX, the University of Girona launches the new course course “Changes in contemporary tourism“, presented by the Faculty of Tourism and the Euro-Mediterranean Campus of  Tourism and Water (e-MTA). This is an unusual proposal offering the opportunity to take massive, open and distance learning courses and, as in this case, emphasizing the current perspectives of tourism.

Final seminar of project Novedar_Consolider

Novedar_Consolider project started in 2007 and is aimed at developing the sewer treatment plant of the XXI century. During 6 years new technologies and strategies for treatment and control have been developed. The objective is optimizing technological parameters as well as guaranteeing its economic and environmental feasibility.
