UIB offers a postgraduate course to learn how to apply effectively ICT in business management on tourism sector

From 2004 and together with the Open University of Catalunya (UOC), the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) offers the postgraduate course in Management and marketing of tourism organizations UOC-UIB,  conducted online through the UOC virtual campus. Students completing this postgraduate attain know-how, appropriate skills and techniques to develop a career in tourism businesses and, especially, in marketing management. UIB trains future professionals in economics of tourism and the environment

The Master’s Degree in Tourism and Environmental Economics at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) offers to students a multicultural and multidisciplinary expertise. They are trained in the study of economic and environmental theory and in the use of econometric and statistical tools, including socio-cultural consequences of tourism. Students will also acquire and practice a new overall knowledge on tourism. The master, of 60 ECTS credits, is composed of five modules: Quantitative and analytical fundamentals for the tourism and environmental economy; tourism economics, environmental economics, optional topics on economics of tourism and the environment; and Master Thesis Project. Sport, as an element to revitalize tourism, is the focus of a postgraduate course of the UIB

The Master in Sport and Tourism at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) is an own postgraduate programme of 60 ECTS that aims to train professionals in the sports and tourism sectors to develop their activity in the sport-tourism binomial context. Students enrolled in this postgraduate will learn to combine sport and tourism, either from a business perspective, or rather from the various institutions in the field, the goal being to revitalize the complementary tourism services, and to optimize the duration of the tourist season by leveraging sport. The Master in Tourism Administration prepares UIB graduates to lead tourism organizations in the framework of global and dynamic environments

The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) launched for this coming academic year the eighteenth edition of the Master in Tourism Administration (MTA), an own postgraduate course with a long tradition and now fully consolidated. It was one of the first postgraduate degrees of its kind to be launched in Spain. The curriculum and the program of the Master in Tourism Administration at the UIB, fully adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), has been configured over the years, adjusting to changing needs and specific requirements of a dynamic environment such as tourism, the economic engine of the Balearic Islands.
