The Innovative Ecosystem is presented in the Faculty of Tourism

“Tourism Assets” was the slogan of the first conference of the Innovative Ecosystem in Tourism of the International Excellence Campus for Higher Education e-MTA. Seven interdisciplinary lines of action, deigned to reinforce collaboration within the area, were presented.

The study published in the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research also shows that the UIB is the seventeenth in the world in scientific production on tourism and hospitality

The University of the Balearic Islands ranked ninth in the world ranking of research in the field of tourism for the period 2000-2009, according to a study published in the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research. This paper analyzes the scientific productivity of authors, universities and countries in tourism and hospitality, based on publications on the six major journals in these fields. Atmospheric copper inhibits phytoplankton growth in the Mediterranean

Atmospheric particles with high concentrations of copper cause a significant decrease in marine phytoplankton biomass in the western Mediterranean.

The results suggest this toxic effect may impact large areas of the ocean.

Researchers from the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) published today in the prestigious journal PNAS (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America) a study that shows the negative effect of copper present in aerosols on marine phytoplankton. Ampliar +
