Carmen Riu, CEO of Riu Hotels & Resorts, supports the Euro-mediterranean Tourism and Water Campus

“The Euro-mediterranean Tourism and Water Campus (Campus e-MTA) is a key project for an archipelago as the Balearic one, in which we live for seawater, because our main modus vivendi is the sun and beach tourism, and with a limited territory, with little rainfall, it is essential to have a very rational policy of water management.

I think it’s important that society gets involved in the generation of sustainable tourism models, because the future of our children depends on them. And it is in this context where the effort of the University of the Balearic Islands is more relevant and becomes an engine to push towards this goal.

Therefore I fully support this project, as it not only appropriate but very necessary.”
