6. F-A3a, Establishment of collaboration networks


Description of the action

The experience financed in the 2010 call (integration of the Montilivi Secondary School in the CEI-PM by means of adopting a vertical curriculum) will be repeated with the Narcís Xifra Secondary School, since after the construction of a bridge over the Ter river, the latter will be located less than 1 minute away from the new Girona University Biomedical Campus, and it offers vocational training specialisation courses in the health field. In this sense, it is a parallel case to the Montilivi Secondary School with regard to water and technology. On the other hand, the second phase for the integration process of the Montilivi Secondary School to the campus will be started by introducing the ACME self-assessment system, which has been developed at UdG in the continuous assessment practices of this secondary school, and by establishing a collaboration network with companies from the technological and water sector which can provide internship opportunities both for vocational training graduates and for students of science and technology university degrees, with the aim of improving employability indicators in this sector, in accordance with the fundamental points of the ESHE.

On the other hand, in the framework of the placement of the national centre of reference for the tourism professional field in the CEI-PM campus, new curricular itineraries will be searched by designing an optimal curriculum for tourism and hotel management studies in accordance with the business and trade union sectors, both in the fields of tourism, and environment and social responsibility. Moreover, in the advanced research fields which have no national centre of reference an internship programme will be started up for selected vocational training students so that they can learn about the techniques used in research laboratories and science and technology services, which will help them join laboratories like the university-business one. Finally, in coordination with the rest of universities in the G9, the IT platform for graduate and postgraduate internships management will be adapted in order to integrate it in a common information system for internships in other Spanish autonomous communities.
